Interchangable Basics
This winter/fall season, I decided to only purchase interchangeable basics. Simple, minimal and functional pieces. Clothing that feels comfortable and that can
This outfit to me can move from day to night very easily with the simple change of footwear and jewelry. The top is a casual knit for a super reasonable price. These FreePeople pants have a nice waistline stretch that makes them really comfortable. Add a belt or keep them as is.
Taking this knit top a step down to a more casual look, pairing it with mom style Zara jeans. I love these jeans so much, high waisted, zippered, slight tears with enough room around the legs. I’m not curvy at all so it’s hard to find jeans like this where my butt just doesn’t look flat. These hug all the right spots. My shoes are old but really any footwear could go, sneakers, sandals, heels.
The colder months
I had never shopped in Uniqlo before and was surprised
Another item I got from Uniqlo is this thermal top. I love the quarter length sleeves and a variety of color options. I got it in black, cream & beige (pictured). Pair it like shown, untucked over leggings or even under a bulky sweater for extra warmth. I switch my footwear to these amazing black combat boots for when I plan on doing plenty of walking.
Kept the bodysuit and paired it with this merino wool skirt. It’s got plenty of stretch with a soft, rib-knit texture. Pair it with the BEST purchase I’ve made in a long time! These Hispanitas boots! They are so comfortable! I have a hard time finding boots that are not to country and not to biker! These will be a staple for years to come for sure. Totally worth the investment.
Kept the skirt and added a few more layers for warmth. The plain white Tee is from Aerie. The fluffy fleece yarn jacket keeps the look casual where the boots make this suitable for an office work vibe. The boots I’m wearing are from Mango but last season so they no longer have them in stock. I did find these boots from Madewell that I drolled over but didn’t pull the trigger on. I tried them on though and they are really comfortable. I love the color of them!
I only wear gold. A necklace that I can wear all the time with any outfit is just such a win! The snake chain choker is from Ellie and Vail. This brand stuck out to me bc you don’t have to worry about your jewelry getting a funky smell, rusting, irritating your skin, or turning it green. So far after wearing it every day for a month including in the shower, it has stuck to its word. The heavy link chain choker is from Vitaly. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and the weight of this piece. $100 really seems reasonable to me.
I hope these give you some
