    My first hosted Thanksgiving

I’ve always wanted to host Thanksgiving but honestly have always been a bit intimidated of the entire thing. So much pressure! We typically go to my mom’s house which is local or my sisters-in-law’s which is 2 hours out of state. But this year…THIS year.. I spoke up and decided that I wanted to give it a go and have Thanksgiving done my way. The most important thing to me was the ambiance and table setting. Thankfully Fortessa was so gracious to gift me all the flat & glass wear needed to create a beautiful tablescape. Fortessa has a beautiful selection to choose from, great quality and everything is dishwasher…

    I Painted my Tile Floors!

Quarantine had some upsides to it. It finally gave me some time to get to the home projects that I’ve been putting off. My master bathroom was top on my list. Here is how I did it! The first thing I recommend is doing your research. Pinterest and YouTube are your best friends. Google searches will take you to sponsored ads and products. Pinterest will take you to blog posts like this one and contain a lot more helpful tips. Youtube is also great! Watch and take notes on what you feel is most relevant to your project. Supplies needed. More links in body Degreaser Foam roller and replacement rollers…

    Interchangable Basics

This winter/fall season, I decided to only purchase interchangeable basics. Simple, minimal and functional pieces. Clothing that feels comfortable and that can be easily switch from day to a night look. This outfit to me can move from day to night very easily with the simple change of footwear and jewelry. The top is a casual knit for a super reasonable price. These FreePeople pants have a nice waistline stretch that makes them really comfortable. Add a belt or keep them as is. Taking this knit top a step down to a more casual look, pairing it with mom style Zara jeans. I love these jeans so much, high waisted,…

    DC Nights

Living just 45 mins from DC, J and I try and take advantage to pop in as often as possible, especially when the weather is nice. We recently did our own little bar crawl stopping by some old and new spots. First up, Morris American Bar http://morrisbardc.com Walk into 70’s monochromatic meets modern chic. Every inch is IG worthy. The food menu is limited to small snacks but the drinks fall far from short. We only planned to stay for one drink due to time constraints with a dinner reservation. I had an Afternoon Snooze which consisted of Mazcal, Tequila, pineapple, lime, honey, & hot sauce. While writing this I…

    Phuket, Thailand

We arrived in Phuket at 12 am after an hr flight south of Bangkok. We planned on heading further south in the morning, therefore we only needed a place to crash for the one quick night. Lesson learned that they will not allow 3 people to stay in a room even with 2 beds. So the boys checked in and I walked up separately. We stayed at the Panphuree Residence, Sa Khu which is just a 10 min walk from the airport. We chose this hotel in order to save money. It was clean, small, with 2 twin size beds. Had a tiny gym, rooftop pool and breakfast that was…

    Ugh

Thats how I’ve been feeling since I got back from Thailand. Just blah, ugh… UGGHHH with a super eyeroll. I was in such denial about having to come back to reality. Paid bills. Finally picked up my stupid shit car from the shop and now it needs to go BACK to the shop bc I have a fuckin coolant leak. Bc I have time for all that. Just about vomited when I saw the email from my accountant about my taxes owed. Ummm… what?! Excuse me I owe how much? Cool! My boyfriend is so annoying right now. I can’t stand him and his non understanding ass. Planning a birthday…

    Exhausted but exhilarated

Well, we have finally arrived! After a lengthy 14 hr flight, we landed at Narita International airport which is about 45 mins outside of Tokyo. Looking for our best bargain we took the JR train in. At only $81 for all 3 when a standard taxi would have been nearly $200!! The last leg of our trip we did need to use a taxi for our final transportation. Note to self: they only accept cash so make sure you swing through an ATM or get your money exchanged at the airport prior to leaving. It is beyond shocking to me that most establishments here only accept cash, insane since we…

    Call it a life purge

Let me start off by saying life is all about creating your own success story. Call it a life purge, a fresh start, a new beginning. Every person hits a point in their life where their passion changes paths and the things they once couldn’t live without, no longer make them tick. I have taken the entire year of 2018 pondering this decision. Going over every single step, what I have accomplished thus far, my regrets, my strengths and fearing the unknown future. 2010 was a huge year for me, I was 25 years old and had just opened up my very own hair salon, Salon VIE. Something I had…
